LYPERTEK Soundfree S30 bone conduction headphones Review

The Lypertek Soundfree S30 is a versatile pair of open-ear headphones designed for active lifestyles. Unlike traditional earbuds that sit in your ear canal, the S30 uses cartilage (bone) conduction technology, which delivers sound through the cartilage of your ear while leaving your ear canal open. This is a key feature for runners, cyclists, and anyone who needs to be aware of their surroundings and with the dark evenings closing in these are ideal and not only this there is a safety LED light to make others aware you are there especially for those joggers who still insist on wearing all Black in the dark

Going to the gym jogging or swimming these have an IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating.  They also come with 32GB of built-in storage, allowing you to load over 8,000 songs and leave your phone behind when you work out. This dual-mode functionality, offering both Bluetooth and MP3 playback, is a huge convenience and with most gyms banning phones these days it again is ideal.

The audio clear with balanced audio with 10mm drivers, though they may not have the deep bass of traditional in-ear headphones Lypertek has included three EQ presets (Bass, Balance, and Vocal) that you can switch between with a simple tap and there is a notable difference between the EQs, I would of like to have seen an app but hey they are good as is out of the box.

Overall, the Lypertek Soundfree S30 excels as a multi-functional sports headphone. It delivers a solid blend of open-ear safety, rugged durability, and the freedom of an on-board music player, making it a compelling choice for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts and general users with great sound.

Now being kids headphones I am keeping it as a kids product to review and it has to be said the audio is great on these with no lag latency or tinny sound from them maxed out which is of course limited.

They are light but robust and will last and I like the two tone colour here on offer there is three buttons in all here two for volume controls and skipping and reversing tracks.

There is a MFB which will play and pause manage calls and allow you access to your chosen  voice assistant which is also handy given the kids will never use it, but then again.

The fit is nice and these can be worn for hours the 14.2mm drivers pack a decent punch here and your kids will be kept entertained and not only that they will be able to hear their surroundings too which is a very important factor to consider.

The NANK Runner Diver2 Pro – Bone Conduction Headphones comes with an array of features for those who like the outdoors and sports featuring noise cancelling an on board MP3 player with 32GB of on board storage an IP69 rating for Swimmers and Bluetooth 5.4 and give you 10 hours of battery life and 10 minutes charging gives you and hours time to listen to music which is not bad at all.

There is no app with these but the whole ideal is to keep you away from your phone as they are sports orientated but the casual user can use them too.

They have a robust build with a nice texture all round and will easily take many a knock.

Built in there is open ear mode and ANC mode whereby you twist headphones as you will see in the full video review below to set the tone, there is also earpieces you can op in your ears which give good passive noise isolation and the first time I have deen this and it is good to see something new, these work really well and fit well and like the headphones will not fall out or off.

The sound is decent with some slight leakage depending on how loud you have them but expected from such products the volume is decently loud and they are more on the bass heavy side for me but I am ok with that, the sound was fine on highs lows and mids and no tinny sound when maxed out or lag latency noted during my testing.

There is an on board MP3 player which is great and this also has several modes to pick from with 32GB storage there is plenty of room for your listening needs.

The controls are also placed on one side with the charge /data transfer and you have all the controls as expected with skip and reverse tracks, play and pause you can higher and lower the volume and access your voice assistant and calls, calls where fine and again on the deeper side.

Overall an ideal kit for those who are into sports and more they are a solid product that will last.

Tech Review – OpenRock S Open-Ear Air Conduction Headphones

Last September we checked out the OpenRock Pro Air conduction support headphones and now they have introduced their latest offering the OpenRock S Open-Ear Air conduction Headphones which is is all the rage now with many brands jumping on board the Air Conduction tech.

The design is familiar and will sit on the ears well and will not fall off so ideal for commuters and gym goers any sports enthusiast actually.

It can take a bit to get use to the controls once fitted, there is no tips here which is great and out of the box you are good to go, we discuss the controls below in more detail you have just about enough to stop you taking your phone out to get things done.

Controls.

You have to music modes here one being relax mode and one being Rock mode which oddly enough cannot be changed with music playing but there is a notable difference between the two, you also have other controls on board such as voice assistant obtained by tapping either side for three seconds, you can also skip and reverse tracks by holding for two seconds and answer and hang up calls, there does not seem to be a volume control option built in, you can play and pause tracks with a double tap.

The sound quality out of the box is pretty decent, there is no app access here which is disappointing and something they might work on in a future pair but overall the sound is decent it is loud crisp and clear no lag latency noted and no distortion maxed out on volume or tinny sound either testing all genres and with Rock Mode you can feel that bass kick in.

Overall if you are into sports or just want something new being air conduction technology you might want to check these out, they look clean and fit well and do an excellent job overall and sound good which is important.

  • Excellent Bass Capabilities – OpenRock S open-ear headphones adopt a new generation of TubeBass bass enhancement technology that concentrates and transmits the energy emitted by the speaker to the ear canal, achieving far-field silencing, reducing sound spillage, and allowing music to surround only the user’s ear canal. Paired with a 16.2mm dynamic driver, it provides unprecedented bass capabilities in open-ear headphones.
  • 60 Hours of Playtime – The earphone’s powerful battery can provide up to 19 hours of listening and talk time at 70% volume on a single charge, plus a 750mAh charging box that can last for 41 hours, and the OpenRock S can provide 60 hours of playback time on a single charge.
OpenRock S Open-Ear air conduction sports earbuds – techbuzzireland
  • Bluetooth 5.3 plus IPX5 Waterproof – OpenRock S wireless earbud’s latest Bluetooth 5.3 further achieves low energy consumption and high transmission rate on the basis of Bluetooth 5.2, shortening the delay time and making the headset connection smoother. It is also IPX5 sweat-proof and waterproof, allowing you to enjoy music worry-free while exercising.
  • Open-Ear Design, Adjustable Earhook – OpenRock adopts the global exclusive titanium alloy ear hooks, the shape of the ear hook can be adjusted according to the size of each person’s ear. Compared with in-ear earbuds, they fit the human ear better, disperse gravity, and are stable and comfortable to wear.
  • AI 4-Mics Call Noise-Canceling – Four high-quality microphones use beam-forming technology to form an array to assist the AI call noise reduction algorithm, achieve four-mark AI call noise reduction, and eliminate environmental noise. Even if the wind is strong around you, the other party can still hear your voice clearly.
  • Rock/Relax Dual Mode – The rock mode emphasizes low-frequency, rhythmic sports sound effects, aiming to reduce sports fatigue and activate your sports potential. The Relax mode emphasizes three-frequency natural and comfortable sound effects, aiming to help individuals relax their body and mind and reduce pressure.

Tech Review – OpenRock Pro Open-Ear Air Conduction Sport Earbuds

Open-Ear bone and Air conduction earbuds/ headphones are now a thing these days and we are going through some amount of pairs to test which is a good thing so we can show you how these things work with hands on time with the products and not lazy stock image reviews so you get context. The OpenRock Open-Ear Air conduction earbuds have been on my ears some time now and as mentioned before there is a difference between bone and air conduction headphones and we are now seeing more of the air conduction earbuds hit the shelves.

Also mentioned before in some reviews you will not get to near your earbud or headphone quality here but this is certainly changing for the better and with these sport earbuds again I see a difference in the tech and enhanced over other models tested in the past, there is no app with the OpenRock but hopefully in time we will see one soon but the news is good more or less from here they couldn’t be simpler to operate either.

You get a pretty large case as seen in the video and some might call that a caveat it is still pocketable and you will know you have it at all times unlike some small earbud cases for example, the case is also super robust so the goods inside will be safe.

The Earbuds are also robust and solid and can be moved to get the perfect fit, these will not fall off once you adjust them to your requirement. As mentioned no app so some limitations.

You have no auto play or pause no multipoint connection, EQ and no wireless charging and after that the rest is there, you can use these individually so effectively doubling battery life for those who use one side only which people do and is a good feature to see here.

The controls are simple to use with one button each side to execute the commands which are fixed and you have access to your voice assistant too the button on each side is the perfect size and works right each time and that is all there is to it really. you can skip and reverse tracks, play and pause and higher and lower the volume and control calls.

Overall the sound is pretty good here and a decent audio experience to be had and you can also hear your surroundings too which is not a bad thing there is some leakage on maxed out volume but no lag latency no tinny sound or distorted either when maxed out. Check out the video review for more.

Tech Review – TOZO OpenReal Air Conduction Headphones

Bone conduction headphones are popular now but now we are seeing AIR conduction headphones which is a different take on the technology used and for the better, having tested countless pairs of bone conduction headphones AIR conduction are far and few between but we have tried a few pairs over the last while, TOZO is a new brand to us and we recently tested their Golden X1 earbuds which are fantastic with a great app and we recommend you try them out and give this brand a look in the near future if not already.

The TOZO OpenReal Air are another pair or headphones that are closer to wearing earbuds than you think same as bone conducting but better, You still get all the features required with controls and so on but on these type of headphones it is actually much simpler. Yes we have an app this time around for these too which is not common and again kept simple.

The design is simple yet robust and sleek you will forget you are wearing these after a few mins and they are comfortable and don’t bounce on your head if jogging or training, a question that is asked alot on such headphones. As you are aware they do not go into your ears but sit on the outside of them and delivering decent audio too which you might not expect but they do work really well and they also have an IPX7 rating for those who are more sporty or use outdoors.

Now when it comes to sound they are loud enough with 16.2mm dynamic drivers, not as loud as earbuds or headphones but loud enough also they do not seem to leak like bone conduction headphones so if someone is sitting beside you on the train or bus you need not worry. Battery life is decent too with around 14 hours per charge less when used full volume and EQ setting dependent.

The controls are simple to use being both on the right earbud and the small control buttons which are very small for me with big fingers it must be said but they work and work fine, you also have the charge port there which of course is a two pin proprietary charger which will hopefully be gone by the end of this year but for now it is the norm like most smartwatches.

The app gives you more control allowing you to pick from custom EQ settings or make your own and the thing is here there is a notable difference between the EQ sounds compared to even recent earbuds tested where you would not notice much of a change between your bass and trebles etc, you can hear the difference with these which is good.

For the price you pay here these are one of it not the best air conduction headphones I have tried to date and look forward to seeing this improve even more over time.

Features

  • Open-Ear Design
  • Air Conduction Technology & Ergonomic Design
  • Clear Calls with Dual-Mic ENC & Bluetooth 5.3
  • 16.2mm Dynamic Drivers
  • Up to 14 Hours Playtime & Fast Charging
  • Support TOZO APP
