Dell unveils new XPS 13 Plus and new UltraSharp monitor. #CES2022

Dell Technologies today unveiled new products at CES 2022 across its XPS and display portfolios to help take collaboration and visual experiences to the next level.

The new XPS 13 Plus is the company’s most powerful device yet, with a sleek keyboard, function row, touch pad and palm rest delivering a clean, iconic appearance that is light to the touch and complemented by curved, comfy edges throughout.

Heightened senses for heightened creativity

Dell has enhanced both sight and sound in the new XPS 13 Plus. Its pioneering 4-sided InfinityEdge display continues to deliver a virtually borderless viewing experience and the company has reduced the number of layers from the display screen to improve clarity and reduce weight.

Designed with larger keycaps (also known as zero-lattice), the keyboard is comfortable, smooth and efficient with every keystroke. The top row of the keyboard is now cleaner, thanks to a new capacitive touch experience that allows you to switch between media and function keys easily.

The new XPS 13 Plus is the first XPS made using hydro-power renewable energy sources, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the aluminium and is 100% recyclable so it can be reused in new PCs.

Acer Unveils Trio of Chromebooks for Families, Students, and Hybrid Workers. #CES2022

Acer today unveiled three new Chromebooks designed for consumers needing a secure, easy-to-use, and affordable device for productivity, entertainment and communication. These new Chromebooks come in three sizes and form factors, and are furnished with everything consumers need, plus exceptional audio and video technology for entertainment and video conferencing.

Acer Chromebook Spin 513 — Sleek Design with Productivity-Boosting VertiView Display

With a svelte design and a durable aluminum case, the new Acer Chromebook Spin 513 (CP513-2H) is the ideal Chromebook to take on-the-go for school, passion projects, work, and more. Powered by the new super-fast MediaTek Kompanio 1380 processor with eight cores for enhanced multitasking, it lets users stay productive all-day with exceptional performance and up to 10 hours of battery life. A productivity-boosting VertiView 13.5-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio gives users 18% more vertical screen space so they can see more content before needing to scroll. Tech-Break: New invention to help families reclaim screen-free quality time unveiled at #CES2022

Tech-Break, an award-winning new invention that helps families reclaim quality social time by temporarily removing digital distractions, will launch in the USA at CES 2022. 

Tech-Break is a physical solution to the disconnect in American families that’s caused by excessive screen time — family members lock away their gadgets inside Tech-Break, set the timer for their desired length of time, and enjoy spending quality time together with no digital distractions. 

According to the New York Times, children’s screen time in the US doubled during the pandemic, with apps like YouTube, Roblox and TikTok proving hugely popular. A survey of over 3,000 parents in the US, conducted by Parents Together in early 2020, revealed 85% were concerned with their children’s usage of apps, games, and social media platforms.

Dad of three and British tech entrepreneur, Bill Stirling, imagined the concept for Tech-Break in 2019 when trying to encourage his family to enjoy screen-free time together. His children resisted with tantrums while Bill and his wife struggled to switch off from checking emails and social media. This led him to create a solution to help families like his own enjoy the benefits of technology while maintaining a healthy balance of screen-free time.
