The One Plus One is arguably the best phone on the market today especially for you moneys worth anyway and its a very nice phone to own and its a joy to use,As a rule of thumb i always suggest buying a case or cover but some chose not too,again this does take away the real feel of a device which for some is a better option.
Noreve have sent us the latest case in their catalogue for the One Plus One and its quite nice even though this type of case is not my first choice when investing in cases for whichever device i might be using.
The case made by Noreve is as always fully open to your preferences so you can pick colours or materials to suit your needs.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is one of the latest devices to hit the stores and it is not cheap so protection is a worthy investment,today we have the otterbox commuter case for the S5 which is alot less bulky than the defender case we had last week and it fits quite well and also looks good.
Now as pictured above here is the Galaxy S5 without the case and one with the case to see the difference between the two and to give some idea on how it will look with the commuter case on board,to be honest i think this is a great case and if you are a samsung fan this is the one for you which of course is cheaper than the all out defender case.
The case comes with a screen protector pack too so the full package is complete with the commuter kit..
The bottom of the case leaves enough room to gain easy access ton the USB section of the device which has a rubber flap built into the S5 this adds even more protection to the charge port which would be one of the most frequently used areas of the S5.
The top gives us the headphone socket and mic areas and the headphone socket has a flap which opens and closes giving the headphone socket full protection when not in use.
The back of the case has a good gripping texture making it non slippy,it also gives us the camera,flash,the infamous heart monitor and speaker.
These are quite recessed on the case which will certainly keep them from harms way and there is no rough edges to be felt anywhere here either.
The right hand side it is completely protected giving us just the power button,this is soft and did not cause any issues at all and we seen no lack of functionality..
The left hand side leaves us again completely protected and with the volume toggles again softly covered and worked perfectly fine with no loss or interruption in functionality,.
To hold the device with the case on is quite nice and not bulky or awkward…
Over all the case looks great,feels great and i would recommend this case even for the not so concious user.

This time of year we see many new phones hit the market and right now there is some great phones to pick from.
Otterbox cases are arguably the best cases that offer protection for your device and this time around with thanks to otterbox.ie we have the Galaxy S5 defender case and here is what we think.
The otterbox defender case for the Galaxy S5 comes in 4 pieces,presented as per norm in the header photo.
The galaxy S5 is an expensive phone so this would offer the phone superb protection especially if you drop it where the screen would cost around €180 vs the price of the defender case which is €49.95..
This is what the finished assembly looks like and its not so bulky to be honest and offers the best protection to date for the S5.It is also quite easy to assemble taking about 3 minutes max.
The bottom of the case leaves plenty of access to the USB charging area which is already protected with a rubber flap on the phone itself,somehow i could not see this flap lasting for the phones lifetime with heavy usage..The case provides plenty of protection down this end.
The top of the case provides plenty of space for the headphone socket,and should accommodate all types be it straight or L shaped headphone jacks..
The left hand side holds the volume toggles and these worked fine you might find a little stiff at first but this is expected at first but no problems,buttons worked fine for me.
The right hand side provides only a power key on the S5 and as you can see it is protected well here with the defender case,works fine with no issues..
The rear of the case actually looks quite nice and i like the blue colour,the back of the S5 holds the camera,heart monitor and speaker,once again all these components are well protected with a sleek design ,no rough edges and the angled curves are in a gray colour which complements the blue well and also a good recess so the protection here is quite adequate..
Also in this S5 pack comes a belt clip,not so common these days but you get one anyway,this does add some bulk to the device and some may find it a tad too big but again its handy if you are in the building trade for example the clip is quite strong and robust and very secure holding the device in place at 5 points.The screen protector is built into the top layer of the case which again provides plenty of protection for the phones screen in dusty or damp conditions.
Overall i was happy with the case and it is priced well,some may find it expensive but you have to balance up the options in the long run.

The great guys over at Noreve have sent us over the Nokia Lumia Dark Vintage case for the Lumia 1520
Once again quality is simply great,to hold to touch and the smell of material is quite nice as its new.
Again on opening the package the quality and presentation is super,nicely presented box and a pouch to store the case should it not be in use.
I love the way the packaging is well designed and presented it gives that feeling of whats inside even before its open and thats quality.
With noreve all you get is quality and the choice to customise your case as always,this is an extra that if offered which is and added bonus if you like to personalise..

Onto the case now.
As you can see its a nice slate gray colour from the range noreve offer,its nicely textured and feels good in hand from all sides and its also comfortable.
The top of the case has one flap over to one side slightly different to the 1320 case we reviewed due to the position of the headphone socket,this leaves ample access to the socket on the 1520 and keeping the device protected too..
The end of the case its soft and not tough and folds easily that in mind it again leave ample space to gain access with usb or charger not giving way to snags either way so its a hassle free opening whilst again keeping the end of the device protected too..Also the speaker grille is visible and leads to no distortion of sound at all which is good,this applies to whichever way the case is faced..No sound volume is lost.
The back of the case is plain and again its a nice to hold and comfortable,it also gives plenty of space for the camera and flash,not getting in the way as some cases can do so which lead to bad pictures especially when using flash.Also at the back on top is the third microphone again no interference..
The right side of the case provides enough access to all the keys which are a typical lumia layout the case does not get in the way and it also protects the keys from getting marked or scratched there is a gap in the between the camera key and volume toggle and power key to make things easier..
On the left is mainly plain and one area free to gain access to your sim and sd card .no need to remove the case either which is a bonus and leaves ample room to swap and remove the trays…..the phone is well protected on this side mostly taken up by the case.
The case has noreve embossed on the inside and a nice texture to it,feels nice and can be easily cleaned should you manage to get dirt on it..
The 1520 fits nice and snug in the case and is not loose either the case offers great protection with a class look and feel to it,its not hard to remove the case either which is good some cases can be a bit tricky and clunky.
Overall i preferred this case over the 1320 case due to its feel,its a really nice case and is comfortable all round….

For most presentation is a key factor when it comes to purchasing things,eye candy packaging with bright colours and plastic bags are whats the norm for online in most cases but noreve have packed in another thump here with beautifully presented packaging .

Open the case to find a top quality pouch to leave your case should you not use it or swap for another,this is an option to not have it lying around and kept protected inside the box..

The case is quite plain and in leather on the exterior ,it feels soft and comfortable to hold and you can clean it easily should you get any dirt on it.
On the front of the case the noreve logo is on the top right slightly raised and slightly embedded into the front face.
The top of the case gives ample access to the earphone socket,and clips on via a small flap,easy to open and close.
The bottom gives you access to the micro usb port again plenty of room to play with here so its no problem to insert and remove usb connectivity accessories.
The back of the case is also plain with clearance for the camera and the speaker ,camera at top speaker at bottom end.
On closer inspection i did find a rather big gap between the body of phone and the case which looks somewhat different to other cases ive used but it had no effect on the camera,some cases which are very close to body and cover,can effect camera performance from my experience distorting or ruining images,giving a flash like effect on the photo,this did not happen here im glad to say.
The right hand side of the case allows full access to your keys it might take some to wiggle the fingers a bit to get used to but all news cases will cause that,where’s the button effect when new all in all again comfortable to use no problems.
The left side has nothing to see just plain as there is no buttons or slots here ,why add something not required..
With the case open you can see the quality inner finish of the case embossed the noreve logo,feels quite nice..
The phone is big and so the case naturally will be and this does add a fair bit onto the devices size and weight,but its comfortable to hold,very solid,if i dropped my device with this id get some satisfaction my phone would be ok ,all of course on how, and how high it was dropped form,from a dropping from an typical standing point i think you would be fine.
Overall the case is very nice,its quality and presentation is great only issue i have with these flip wallets they are not for me,especially on 6 inch devices,opening and closing the flap can get in your way,but thats just my personal opinion. Im more or a open gel case type or non flip wallet type person,so been this my first time to use such a case it was different,its nice to use,also considering the fact we have a big phone and case on tow you can see what i mean when you go to open and close this type of case will have,again a matter of getting used to,just like phablets themselves.
