Setup and Storage Considerations

The installation process is straightforward for anyone familiar with PoE security cameras. The C300 can be connected to:

As part of the setup adding a camera is reasonably straightforward.

As there is no onboard storage on the camera, options for storage have to be decided

 

One important note for buyers: the manual incorrectly suggests SD card support. This particular model does not include an SD slot or onboard storage, meaning users will need to plan for external NVR storage or network-based recording. While this may be a limitation for those seeking standalone recording, it is a common trade-off in budget PoE models.

Day and Night Performance

In daylight, the C300 produced clear and colourful 3MP footage, suitable for property monitoring. The wide-angle lens captures a good field of view, although fine detail such as facial recognition at distance is limited compared to higher resolution 4K cameras.

At night, the EXIR 2.0 infrared provided stable black-and-white images with visibility up to 20m. While it won’t replace colour night vision cameras in detail or range, it is perfectly functional for general surveillance of entrances, driveways, or back gardens.

Motion detection alerts worked well during testing and were responsive across both daytime and nighttime scenarios.

Warranty and Reliability

annke backs the C300 with a two-year warranty, offering reassurance to buyers who want reliable long-term performance. For an affordable outdoor PoE camera, the warranty coverage is a strong selling point.

While we have not yet tested the wireless or PTZ systems, it’s important to flag them as part of annke’s broader offering, giving consumers a range of options from entry-level cameras like the C300 through to high-end professional solutions.

The annke C300 is a competent and reliable budget outdoor PoE security camera. It cannot compete with Annke’s advanced NightChroma or colour night vision cameras in terms of resolution and detail, but it performs well as a cost-effective solution for basic surveillance needs.

The WOLFANG Dash Cam Car Front & Rear 4K Dual Dash Cam is an affordable dash cam keeping you and you car protected whats more is this covers both front and rear which in my view is a must have for every vehicle owner no matter what type of vehicle is.

The Dash Cam also comes with a cool app that is easy to use which you will see in the full video review down below and see samples of the Dash Cam in action both day and night and front and rear cameras which is clear and the audio also excellent.

It takes a few minutes to install since you have a rear cam but once installed you just leave it there and let it do its job, there is on screen quick actions too such as Wi-Fi which you will need to connect to the app via your phone, you can also take images and videos on the fly and the same via the app.

The UI on the app is user friendly and the same on the WOLFANG dash cam itself and will take around 5 minutes to go through all the settings and set to your requirements.

There is a built on mic and speaker and GPS which shows a map of where incidents take place which is excellent and not often offered at this price point which is a win for me and anyone that picks one up. You can simply download the files from the gallery and even share once on your smartphone.

You can select different viewing options on the home screen which dual records no matter how you set it so you can have either just the front cam in action or both and in full or split screen which is quite handy I have mine set to both and the bigger picture being the front cam but as mentioned can be reversed.

Overall this delivers crystal clean images and video and even in poor lighting conditions delivers what it says is does meaning you have yourself covered if you get into an accident or someone tried to break into your car and is worth the money not many offer a complete package like this one does and worth the investment.

New Static Speed Camera in Dolphins Barn Live today

Dublin City Council is pleased to see the introduction by An Garda Síochána of the first ever static speed camera within the Council area.

The Council worked closely with An Garda Síochána to facilitate the installation and initial operation of the camera.

The Static Safety Camera, which is located in Dolphin’s Barn, will commence operation from Friday 1st August 2025.

Dublin City Council will continue to work together with An Garda Síochána on road safety and measures which can help to improve road safety for all. The camera is located beside the maxol garage with the details below

Current Speed Limits

The default speed limit for most roads within the Dublin City Council area is 50km/h. Speed limit signs are erected at all points where there is a speed limit change. The enforcement of the speed limits is a matter for An Garda Síochána.

Dublin City Council has progressively introduced a 30km/h speed limit to many areas of the city, and Dublin City Council implemented 30km/h speed limits in all the residential areas as per approved Phase 4 – Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2020. What is a static safety camera?

A static safety camera is in one location and measures the motorists speed at that one particular point along the road.

How does it work?

As with GoSafe vans, drivers detected by static safety cameras breaking the speed limit on that road will be automatically issued a fixed charge penalty notice.

Why use static speed safety cameras?

Static safety cameras have been proven internationally to reduce speeding. Speeding is one of the main contributors to road deaths.
