NBI and GAA+ partner to reward broadband customers with streamed championship games

National Broadband Ireland (NBI), the company delivering the new future-proofed, high-speed Fibre-to-the-Home network under the National Broadband Plan (NBP) on behalf of the Government, has announced an exciting new partnership with GAA+, the GAA’s live and on-demand streaming platform.

GAA+ is offering a schedule of c.40 exclusive games for the Championship 2026 season and those new customers ordering a broadband service on the NBI network before 31st March can receive an annual subscription pass valued at €95.

By combining next‑generation broadband infrastructure with modern sports broadcasting, the reward highlights how digital connectivity can bring local sporting moments to audiences right across rural Ireland and the GAA heartland.

Jarlath Burns, GAA President, expressed his excitement at the launch of this partnership: “The GAA is rooted in every community in Ireland, regardless of its urban or rural setting. Making GAA+ as accessible and enjoyable as possible remains a consistent aim and this new partnership with National Broadband Ireland clearly speaks to that ambition.”

“Our platform will once again provide a comprehensive live and exclusive broadcast schedule to supporters across web, connected TVs and apps throughout the Championship from Saturday, April 11th. Working closely with National Broadband Ireland will ensure thousands of our members can avail of enhanced connectivity in their area and look forward to coverage from Provincial Championship and All-Ireland series stages on any connected device in the comfort of their own home.”

The partnership forms part of NBI’s wider efforts to enhance end user experience and highlight the everyday benefits that high‑speed broadband can bring to households and communities.

NBI’s rollout of high‑speed broadband infrastructure into rural areas is creating new opportunities for families, clubs and supporters to stay connected – whether that is working, learning or watching their county team compete.”

“We see our partnership with GAA+ as a great way to support broadband take-up by giving new customers that order before the end of March, access to 40 exclusive streamed games.” Mr. Malone concluded: “We also believe watching the GAA+ games over the NBI network will enhance the streaming experience.”

More than 451,000 premises across Ireland can now order fibre broadband on the NBI network, with over 165,000 already having done so.

40 new jobs: Aiven chooses Cork as location of EMEA Hub

Cloud Infrastructure leader Aiven has selected Cork City as the location of its EMEA hub for Go to Market expansion. This expansion is expected to create 40 jobs over the next three years.

Aiven’s GTM Expansion hub will see the creation of a new Inside Sales organisation with supporting engineering and operational supporting functions which will be focused on driving growth of Aiven’s open-source core services.

Aiven’s decision to expand its Cork operations with a focus on hiring sales professionals will create new, high-quality career opportunities in the region. Review – Avoalre 40cm/16 inch Christmas Wreath with 40 LED Lights

Want an easy to use and nice wreath for the holiday season Avoalre have just that for you which is now available to buy on Amazon, the company brings all kinds of seasonal lights for your home and have a huge selection for the Xmas period and look really great if your into decorating the house as many are and often the case we see neighbours try outdo each other every year, this has even trickled down to Halloween now and it looks nice but too much effort for my liking and I like to keep it simple.

All you need to go is three AA batteries and place them in the compartment on the back of the wreath, there you also find the control panel and set accordingly it is that simple. Three-Primary-Camera Trinity System Offers Spectacular Shots at Every Angle

While the full screen allows users to “see the spectacular”, the primary cameras of ZTE Axon 40 Ultra have been completely upgraded to the best triple-camera system“trinity” in the industry, consisting of a 64-megapixel humanity camera, a64- megapixel ultra-wide-angle primary camera, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto primary camera. The triple primary camera, powered by a powerful processor, enables ZTE Axon 40 Ultra to capture imagery in spectacular fashion. 

The 64-megapixel humanity primary camera and ultra-wide-angle primary camera on ZTE Axon 40 are equipped with two Sony IMX787 sensors, a first for the industry. Tech Review – Poly Sync 40 conference speaker

The Poly Sync 40 is one of three new speakers that is now available and is an ideal solution for either home or office use and not only this you can use it as a standard bluetooth speaker for pumping out the tunes and it is quite good too, This speaker is a really well built and designed speaker it must be said and looks well in any setting.

What makes this unit stand out is the connectivity options at hand here and you can connect via bluetooth or cable and the cable is stowed underneath the unit which is a nice touch. The build quality is great and the looks to match with a cloth finish up top and you get two full width bars and touch sensitive buttons which are simple to use, in fact using this is a simple affair no matter what way you look at it.

We have intuitive easy to use touch controls on board here too which is nice these are placed on the bottom half of the speaker on the top, you get Bluetooth pairing,volume controls audio muting and the option to control calls taken with the speaker itself and on the side you have a power button, USB port and a pairing button again if you wish to link another speaker.

All this makes for an easy speaker unit to control and this is what you get alongside its solid sturdy build and it does look great I have to say so it will not look out of place at home or in the office, but it does not stop there this can be used in a personal capacity too which means you can connect your device to it for personal music and again it does a really great job here and for me serves good enough to save you buying a second speaker for music you can hear the samples below in the video review.

What really stands out is the light bars which I really like and these change colour with audio levels it is a really cool feature you expect to see on more modern home us speakers for audio so this unit is trying to give users that element making it feel more like a hybrid model giving you those light effects if this is what you ate into and it looks great having both bars fill the top and bottom of the speaker.

What Poly have created here is a simple effective speaker that can be used at home or in the office and they have pulled it off with its simplicity and ease of use and not only that it is portable enough too making it versatile and in this segment of such speakers it is something you do not see to often.
