Samsung have announced two new devices today and they are quite different to is past models which is good to see and we even get Qi charging which is a first,The S6 follows on its Alpha style and the S6 Edge follows on from the Amazing Note Edge which is a fantastic device,also new is a non removeable back cover or SD slot which may annoy some fans who are used to having the luxury of removing the back cover and using SD cards

Everyone has their eyes tuned into Samsung of late with the most likely Samsung Galaxy S6 and perhaps the S6 edge,with probably something else up their sleeve well its not too long now to find out what they have to offer.

 

IKEA will sell furniture with wireless chargers in US and UK By @VicenteA_George #ikea #wireless #charging

The well known “do-for-yourself” furniture maker IKEA have a big surprise for us in a couple of months.

The company will offer Lamps, Tables and Nightstands with wireless charging built in (under the Qi standard).

And if you have an Iphone or a Samsung and think “It doesn’t work for me” the company will also offer a range of case and covers for those handsets without wireless chargers backplates.

The collection will start to be sell on mid April in the U.K with prices starting at £30, they will be sell on the U.S later this year but we don’t have the exact date yet.

“Our belief is that mobile phones are vital parts to people’s lives at home and their desire to stay connected, and Qi addresses an unmet need to keep devices powered,” said Bjorn Block, Range Manager for Lighting and Wireless Charging, at IKEA. “As a member of WPC, we value the access to the leading and most advanced global standard for wireless charging.”

That’s good news for those who plan buy new stuff for home and even for the ones that only want a useful bed lamp that will also act as a charger.

Just a quick heads up,Apparently the windows phone store is down,on searching for games for my daughter earlier we discovered that a search will yield no results,so we tried on several devices and its reporting the same issue.

However there is a workaround our good friend @Massis  has suggested a workaround should you be in need to download something.

The App gives us latest news,fixtures,results,photos,videos,venue info and a map with traffic flow and directions,also in this update it has CORTANA integration,Cortana is still not available here but you can change your settings to avail.

Apple announces March 9th for next event,what to expect. by @jimboireland #Apple.

Apple have just sent out press invites for its next event which is pencilled in for March 9th 2015.

Most likely to be finalised is the Apple Watch details,We may also hear about how much gold its going to use for its Gold version which is said to be a third of the world’s stockpile.Also we may hear about if its splash proof or a reported 100k apps will be available.Another thing which is quite important is the battery life,with many reports or if not being so good this is something people will be closely watching and if Apple actually make comment on it.

 

Also a New MacBook may be on the cards too.But what about the iCar ??? Could they tease us with this one has to ask and it would give us plenty of time to start saving,Will Bono give us more free music,or will there be something on Apple TV.. Earlier this month Sony announced the affordable 4G handset the Xperia E 4G and it will cost us €129.99 it is available in both single and dual sim but the dual sim will not sell here as operators do not like them..
