#NokiaMusic gets an update.@deano_42 gives us a walk through of the cool new features. #Nokia

The latest version of Nokia Music is out now for your downloading pleasure.  The Music team have been busy creating even more ways to enhance your listening experience, this time adding notifications and favourite artists to the mix. The two of the guys behind the service, Martin Banham and Daniel Roberts, to give us the low-down.

“These latest features are designed to take you closer to the music you love, with notifications whenever there’s something new happening for one of your favourite artists.”

You can now ‘like’ your favourite artists to further personalise your music experience. Nokia Music will also like artists based on your playing history and the contents of your music library. Notifications are the payoff here: you’ll get a notification the moment one of your favourite artists releases any new music.

We know how frustrating it can be when a gig sells out before you’ve even heard about it. That will become a thing of the past with gig notifications. Nokia Music will let you know as soon as any new gigs are announced, so you can pick up your ticket and smugly sit back and wait for the big day to arrive.

To get the full experience, pin Nokia Music to your Home Screen and enable Live Tile notifications. Then, as well as showing you the beautiful artwork for your recently played tracks, you’ll also receive an alert whenever there’s news.

Along with these new features Nokia Music is still rocking with our mixes cooked up by our mix masters. The guys are really proud of this release, but as you’ve seen, it only gets better.

This update is available to all Nokia Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone 8 and will be available via the Windows Phone Store from today.

Review. #NokiaMusic #COLOUD Knock by @jimboireland at nokianewsireland.com

Last week we reviewed the coloud boom which are an awesome set of headphones now its the turn of its companion the coloud knock .

These are quite nice and a reminder of the the old days when you had the spongy typed headphones and brings back some memories of the really bad headphones that where out in that era,one good thing they kept your ears warm, the rest was bad compared to todays standards of headphones .

The knock are a bit cheaper than the boom and as you know you get what you pay for but these are well worth the money and leave some competitors for dirt when it comes to sound comfort and style.

As mentioned you can see the old style spongy covers are actually very comfortable on your ears and will prove useful in the winter time too.

These would be more aimed at the younger kids in my opinion but then again everyone’s is different.

These are a  bit lighter than the booms which would be expected in the price bracket, there is no layer of comfort in the arches which the boom has.

Again the the zound lasso is present and its also got the mic and remote.

These can also adjust on both sides but not to the same extend as the boom can and the overhead band slots into the ear can remaining as one piece looks alot less appealing than the booms but bear in mind the cost.

The sound quality is quite good and better than i would think for the price bracket they are fit for not really any major distortion when your at max volume which was good so top marks for that .

Overall they are a cheaper build quality than the boom but they dont lack much in performance so its a win win.

These would be ideally suited to the younger teens or who ever of course decides what suits their own personal taste.

They are colorful, lightweight and cheap compared to other competitors and if you drop these they wont break.

REVIEW- Nokia #Coloud Boom by @jimboireland at nokianewsireland.com #COLOUD #NokiaMusic @deano_42

During the week nokianewsireland.com was the first blog in ireland to receive the new range of headsets from nokia and coloud.

So we have tested the coloud boom first over the past few days to give them a fair review as any product deserves.

Coloud boom is simply fantastic these are a quality headset which totally surprised me considering the price bracket they fall into.

We had the yellow ones the WH-530. Nice vibrant colour that went perfect with my nokia lumia 520..

Coloud boom come with the zound lasso which means they can remain tangle free which is an excellent idea.

Also this is integrated with a microphone so you can manage calls quite easily hassle free.

This concept worked out well as my daughter who is a nokia fan thanks to me of course had to try them out and tangle free headphones is a win win especially when you have kids and something to factor in too as im sure you have had headphones or earphones handed to you before full of knots.

The overall design is simple yet effective and overall a comfortable experience and a great listening experience.

The speakers are padded and so is the arch which sits on your head so this also means tangle free hair, the speaker fit so comfortably on your ears without pressure and immediately feel the quality and the sound from outside fade away giving you the full benefit of quality sound listening to your music.

The right speaker has a retractable extension which moves in and out so you can adjust them to your own comfort level and they sit nicely on your ears with a soft touch.

Im a music man and love my headphones and these offered to me as a season user of many makes of headphones including the purity pro wireless  a surprisingly sound experience almost matching the top of the range ones out there when it comes to crisp loud audio and there was no distortion when set to max,my preferred choice is to have music loud and enjoy it,these fulfilled my expectations and more and for the price you will pay for these you just cant go wrong at all.

The coloud boom will retail in September for roughly around  27-30 euros which is an absolute bargain.

I will be reviewing the coloud pop and rock shortly so stay tuned ,thanks for reading.

New Nokia Lumia 925 Advert-Photos to remember from the night you can’t.

Nokia have made another great advert showing how good the lumia 925 is a taking low light photos in the dark.

Maybe some of the irish media critics should take a look rather than diss the camera quality.

Breaking News! Nokia to announce a new device on the 28TH August.

Coming from Russia we get a glimpse of what is an invite to a Nokia event slated for August 28 in Russia’s capital Moscow.

The invite has “World premiere” written on it and is framed in front of piano keys, which sadly doesn’t give much of a hint as to what the star of the show will be.

Nokia is rumored to have a tablet running on windows RT on the way. There’s also talk of a FullHD  Phablet device, which was  spotted but it’s unlikely we’ll see such devices before Microsoft unleashes the GDR3 update to WP, which will allow 1080p support.

We will have to wait for more, stay tuned!
