The OnePlus has been a rather intersting device which we have been using sometime now and i have to say its been one of the best android experiences to date and the device is solid and has a great feel to it,especially on the back where its rough but nice and also grippy.
My thoughts on the invite process and how the marketing was inivite system ran mubbled me to some extent but i bit the bullet and got one of these devices which i did not regret doing so in the long run,its been a painless experince using it and i would reccomend it to anyone on a budget, this is up there with the big guys make no mistake about it.
You can now pre -order the device from today and if you have some spare bucks sitting there go get it.
Next thing to do now is login and pre-order the device, you can use parcel motel to get the device shipped to Ireland as we did, this is the bes toption to get the device to you or if you have someone in the uk you can get it delivered to and they can forward it on.
To get your one plus one go HERE and order.check out our unboxing and look at the one plus HERE
We have had all previous versions of samsungs phablet so why miss out on the latest offering from samsung, the galaxy note 4.
Today we will have a quick unboxing of the Galaxy S4 and walkaround, some main features on the Galaxy Note, the Note 4 comes packed with features and specs, typically a spec trip for some but the Note 4 has the touchwizz UI which is not for everyone.
Features on the Note 4 are as follows ,Fingerprint scanner with PayPal support,16MP OIS camera with 2160p video recording @ 30fps, 1080p @ 60fps, 720p @ 120fps,a front facing camera with 3.7MP,Quad-core 2.7GHz Krait 450 CPU, Adreno 420 GPU; Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset,3GB of RAM,Bluetooth 4.0 ,NFC ,IR blaster 3,220mAh battery 32GB on board storage expandble via SD card .
Our first impressions so far is quite good, its fast and responsive,we also tried the fast charging and dam its fast this is ideal if you are in need of power. Two drawbacks of the Note 4 is no wireless charging and where the speaker is mounted, given the back is so big they could have at least given dual speakers, depending on how the phone rests the sound can get muffled,as for the gap that folk keep talking about i dont see it to be as bad but however thi could be a problem down the road wuth dirt and dust building up so that is something to consider.
Google have just announced a new service called Inbox, yeah sounds like mail but its not, apparently its been years in the making and in short gives you the important things you need to know and it also lets you add reminder to particular mails too check it out down below and what it can do..this looks good as for someone like me who has several accounts getting too many mails each day so for those who are in the same boat this is for you..
Email started simply as a way to send digital notes around the office. But fast-forward 30 years and with just the phone in your pocket, you can use email to contact virtually anyone in the world…from your best friend to the owner of that bagel shop you discovered last week.
With this evolution comes new challenges: we get more email now than ever, important information is buried inside messages, and our most important tasks can slip through the cracks—especially when we’re working on our phones. For many of us, dealing with email has become a daily chore that distracts from what we really need to do—rather than helping us get those things done.
If this all sounds familiar, then Inbox is for you. Or more accurately, Inbox works for you. Here are some of the ways Inbox is at your service:
Bundles: stay organized automatically
Inbox expands upon the categories we introduced in Gmail last year, making it easy to deal with similar types of mail all at once. For example, all your purchase receipts or bank statements are neatly grouped together so that you can quickly review and then swipe them out of the way. You can even teach Inbox to adapt to the way you work by choosing which emails you’d like to see grouped together.
Highlights: the important info at a glance
Inbox highlights the key information from important messages, such as flight itineraries, event information, and photos and documents emailed to you by friends and family. Inbox will even display useful information from the web that wasn’t in the original email, such as the real-time status of your flights and package deliveries. Highlights and Bundles work together to give you just the information you need at a glance.
Reminders, Assists, and Snooze: your to-do’s on your own terms
Inbox makes it easy to focus on your priorities by letting you add your own Reminders, from picking up the dry cleaning to giving your parents a call. No matter what you need to remember, your inbox becomes a centralized place to keep track of the things you need to get back to.
Get invited..
Starting today, Google are sending out the first round of invitations to give Inbox a try, and each new user will be able to invite their friends. If Inbox can’t arrive soon enough for you, you can email them at inbox@google.com to get an invitation as soon as more become available.
Our LG G3 finally arrived today and we are delighted to have here at TBI headquarters.
This device is the best on offer from LG and LG have really upped their game in the last two years, the G2 was the previous version and have really given LG a good name in the premium end of things now with these two devices, albeit LG is not a major brand here in Ireland when it comes to smartphones the G3 has set some high standards and it is a pity no networks have taken this device on board into their device portfolio but maybe they might change their mind but by the time this happens the G4 will probably be announced.Ireland still lag behind our EU counterparts for handset choice in general which has lead many people to import good high end and mid tier devices networks choose to ignore or perhaps its a case of the manufacturers themselves not selecting Ireland to sell such devices.
The LG G3 comes with some new features such as a 1 watt speaker at the rear, laser focus and the unusual placement of the volume key and power key which will take a bit to get custom to from the regular placement on devices today. On board the G3 is 5.5 inch screen with Quad HD,a Snapdragon 801 chipset,Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU,13 MP OIS dual flash camera and a nice 3000 mAh battery. We also have Knock Code on the device too.Device memory depends on spec,16 GB comes with 2 GB RAM and the 32 GB comes with 3 GB RAM.
We have 1440 x 2560 pixels, 534 ppi pixel density which looks great and the device has Corning Gorrila Glass 3.
You may notice a little laugh during the video but i like to keep things real so excuse that.
