The world’s leading manufacturer of cylinder vacuum cleaners, large home appliance brand, Miele, has unveiled its first ever cordless handstick model. The new Miele Triflex combines exceptional cleaning performance and flexibility not offered by any other competitive product. Featuring a unique 3in1 design (patents pending), the Triflex can be configured as a cordless handstick, cordless handheld and cordless upright vacuum cleaner. This pioneering system enables the user to quickly and easily change the setup of the Triflex to suit their cleaning needs.
Miele’s Triflex also features a removable battery allowing consumers to double their cleaning potential with the purchase of a second battery. The flagship Triflex HX1 Pro comes complete with two batteries, offering up to 120 minutes of unstoppable power. Three models in five colours are now available in stores.
Pat McGrath, Managing Director at Miele Ireland says, “At Miele, we are well known for the quality of our cylinder vacuum cleaners and we are delighted to be able to offer consumers the same Miele quality in a cordless cleaner with the introduction of Triflex – the ultimate cordless vacuum cleaner.”
The key components of the Triflex – the PowerUnit, suction tube, floorhead and handle – can be quickly reconfigured into a choice of three modes for complete flexibility and versatile handling. As a cordless handstick, the Triflex is ideal for cleaning hard to reach areas, such as under furniture, stairs or corners.
As a cordless upright, the centre of gravity is shifted lower, creating the perfect ergonomic balance for vacuuming large areas. For optimal convenience, in this mode the Triflex can stand upright unsupported – making storage a cinch and great for any interruptions whilst vacuuming.
As a cordless handheld, the PowerUnit is detached from the tube and floor head making it ideal for quickly removing crumbs from the breakfast table or cleaning the car.
The Triflex is powered by a lithium ion battery from Germany’s premium manufacturer, Varta. that offers up to 60 minutes of continuous cleaning. When the Triflex is operated in the second of three power levels, recommended for regular soiling, more than 1100 square feet of flooring can be cleaned on a single charge.
Outstanding Cleaning Performance
The Triflex draws its suction power from Miele’s tried-and-tested Vortex Technology, as featured in their Blizzard CX1 bagless cylinder vacuum cleaners. This system allows users to achieve the same cleaning performance with the Triflex HX1 as an award-winning Miele corded vacuum cleaner. Thorough cleaning of all types of floor coverings is guaranteed by the 28cm wide MultiFloor XXL floorhead, with electrically driven brush. Incredibly, it automatically detects the type of flooring and will increase the speed of the spinning brush for outstanding cleaning on carpets. The HX1 Cat & Dog and HX1 Pro models feature an LED headlight (BrilliantLight – patent pending), helping to find the last specks of dust in the darkest of corners.
The Triflex’s three-stage filtration system ensures hygienic dust disposal. Coarse dirt collects in the dust container, whilst finer particles are retained by the fine dust filter. During disposal, the Twist2open mechanism (patent pending) makes sure that the contents of the dust container slide out effortlessly.
The integrated Hygiene Lifetime Filter traps up to 99.98%* of dust particles – releasing cleaner air back into your home. Allergy sufferers will benefit from the HEPA Lifetime Filter, found in the Cat & Dog and Pro models, which reliably traps up to 99.999%* of fine dust and allergens.
Flexible Storage. Flexible Charging.
The Triflex also proves highly flexible when it comes to storage, making the best of available space. With the PowerUnit in either the lower or upper position, the appliance can be suspended from the provided wall bracket. If there is insufficient space or to avoid the need to drill holes, when configured as a cordless upright, the Triflex can stand on its own. To charge the Triflex, simply plug the charging cable directly in to the connector on the battery. For complete flexibility, the battery can be charged on or off the Triflex – ideal if no power socket is available where the vacuum cleaner is stored.
The Miele Triflex is available in five colours. Lotus White, Graphite Grey and Ruby Red for the entry Triflex HX1; Obsidian Black for the HX1 Cat & Dog and Infinity Grey Pearl Finish for the HX1 Pro.
