Children from across the UK have designed the smartwatch of the future. These kids all under the age of 14 were asked by Currys PC World to design how they thought wearable technology should look and feel in the near and distant future. From holograms to mood sensors and even time-travel, these young designers let their imaginations loose to blew us all away with their innovative ideas.

Half a century ago, who would have even dreamt of all the weird and wonderful things that your wristwear could do today. Even beyond being a means by which one can tell the time (and a stylish accessory to boot), with a quick finger-swipe one can now be connected with their friends, their videos and photos, their music collection…and even to their own heartbeat.

Their amazing sketched were drawn up by a professional illustrator, with the outcome being many fun, multi-functional and futuristic smartwatches. Check out more of the childrens’ designs here
