A few weeks ago we learned that 3 let something slip out of the bag about the Nokia 3310 3G version. They posted a tweet on social media about the unannounced device at the time which the full story can be read HERE.

The standard 3310 which is 2.5G has nowhere to be seen on the network which makes sense and putting all the pieces together adds up. The 3310 is now widely available in Ireland and for those who belittled the current 3310 may now change their mind due to the slightly updated nostalgic phone.

People mostly complained about the device limitations forgetting it was more a nostalgic reboot than anything else but it was and a useable device today keeping things simple. Also people had fears of the 2.5 G spectrum being turned off in many regions and would render the phone usless. The 3G version of the 3310 will most likely hit all networks in the coming weeks and lets not hope there is an exclusivity deal like the Nokia 5 and 6.

The Nokia 3310 3G is expected to launch in the 2nd week in October here in Ireland.
