A few weeks ago Three announced plans to change their pricing which comes into effect from the 15th of this month. This did not go down too well for them and they where allowed exit contract and keep their mobile phones which would have been great for anyone who just signed a new contract meaning they could exit at no loss and keep a nice new phone and then just port over to a new provider..

It now emerges Meteor are following suit which I expected to happen and they have announced  that those on the Simplicity plan will see the changes.

Effective from June 8th this year here is what will happen which falls in-line with Three Ireland..

If you are on our Simplicity plan and avail of an offer that lasts for 30 days, from 8th June, you will see this period reduce from 30 days to 28 days. A 9c connection fee will also be introduced for standard rate calls that are made in the absence of an active offer or that exceed your offer call allowance or any fair use policy.

The period in which you can use data add-ons will also reduce from 30 days to 28 days.

These changes will apply to all offers and data add-ons activated on or after June 8th
