Recently we did a post on how Microsoft and their mobile phones had been doing here in Ireland and as many know it has not been good. Even the Irish store has none for sale and have told us it will not be anytime soon either so for me that is never again.. Maybe they might find some stock and have a quick sale but for now it is not looking good regardless what way you look at it..

Also to note they are slowly vanishing from out bricks and mortar stores too though some do sell at high prices be it via their store or online shops which again is not helping the situation at all.. I have been keeping a close eye on all things Lumia here for some years now due to my interest and a user and when it comes to prices we have always kept you up to date on any Lumia phone news or info that would be viable for interested consumers.

Today is not a good news day at all.. Argos have told us they have discontinued the entire range from their stores which pretty much sums up the situation. Argos are great for having SIM FREE devices and have often brought devices into peoples hands that our phone stores simply would not sell. Also Argos offer customers SIM FREE devices which is the better route to go.  So there you have it. Another nail in the coffin…However all this makes complete sense when Microsoft have even said they don’t plan to restock their virtual stores anytime soon as reported not long ago.

We reached out to Argos having not seen any listed devices just  to be clear about the subject and they told us..

Dear techbuzzireland.

Subject – Microsoft Lumia

I have looked into this for you.   I regret to advise these items have now been discontinued.
This means we will no longer be replenishing stock within our stores.  Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused.
