The HTC mid range devices have always been known for offering some interesting devices, But one that has become a classic among them is the Desire lineup. And today the company unveiled two new models aimed to impress the audience.

HTC Desire 10 Pro

As you can imagine by the name, this is the big one of the two but just on the inside as on the outside they are practically identical.

The 10 Pro is like an HTC10 with a different heart and some plastic surgeries, so let’s see what’s under the hood:

Display: IPS LCD 5.5 inches

Resolution: 1080 x 1920 pixels (~400 ppi pixel density) Corning Gorilla Glass

OS:     Android OS, v6.0 (Marshmallow)

Chipset:     Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 Octa-core, 64-bit

ROM: 64GB, 4GB RAM

MicroSD up to 2TB (dedicated slot)

Rear Camera: 20 MP, f/2.2, 28mm, laser autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash.
Front Camera: 13 MP, f/2.2, 28mm

microUSB v2.0

Battery: 3000 mAh with Fast Charging (5V/2A)

Fingerprint Sensor

For the photographers out there on the rear side you’ll find a 20MP with an f/2.2 27.8mm-equivalent lens, laser autofocus and dual-LED flash and the “selfie lovers” will be pleased with a 13MP (same lens) and a 150º panorama mode for bigger groups.

This time there’s no USB type C, but the Finger print Scanner can also be used to locked some apps and trigger the camera.

Also worth mention is the fact that you’ll find “physical” buttons this time on the lower chin, leaving the whole 5.5 inches of screen available for your creativeness

HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle

This one is a huge step back on the inside compare to its sibling, although they look exactly the same on the exterior, the inside will be noticeable after you start using the device.

Display: IPS LCD 5.5 inches

Resolution: 720 x 1280 pixels (~267 ppi pixel density) Corning Gorilla Glass

OS:     Android OS, v6.0 (Marshmallow)

Chipset:     Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400

CPU: Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A7

GPU: Adreno 305

ROM: 32GB / 3GB RAM or 16GB / 2GB RAM

MicroSD up to 2TB (dedicated slot)

Rear Camera: 13 MP, f/2.2, 28mm,
Front Camera: 5 MP, f/2.8, 34mm,

3.5mm jack with certified 24-bit/192kHz audio Dolby sound

microUSB v2.0

Battery: 2700mAh with Fast Charging (5V/1.5A)

As you can see, there are some small changes but also some important ones to consider when chosing one or the other.

If you’re more onto the photography department the Pro would be a better option, but if you enjoy you music more than anything the Lifestyle is your call, also there’s no FP sensor on the latter.

HTC Sense is still present, but in a new form that will let you customize your screen any way you want.

Both devices will be available in Stone Black, Polar White, Royal Blue, and Valentina Flux all four having some Golden accents all around.

Take a look at what some fans have to say about the new phone:

The HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle is a limited edition handset, it will be available on the HTC Ireland e-store from the end of October at an approximate price of €319*. Price includes high res earphones in the box.

*Please note this is an approximate price only. Price could change closer to on-shelf launch date.
