When it comes to internet speed its a laugh to what we get here to what is touted by the ISP providers and really annoys me and i am pretty sure I am not the only one who has the same problem,Our infrastructure is poor and we lag behind but that is nothing new..The same can be said for mobile but this seems to be improving somewhat of late and I enjoy 4G+ with three when its available and its twice as fast as my fixed broadband at home which is something to chew on… Check out below who ranks the best for July..
Here are some highlights from the July data for the Netflix ISP Speed Index, Netflix’s monthly update on which Internet Service Providers (ISPs) provide the best prime-time Netflix streaming experience.
In Chile, Movistar rose from last place to No. 5 by delivering average monthly speeds of 2.45 Mbps, up from 1.73 Mbps in June. Claro broke into the Top 3 ISPs with speeds of 3.06 Mbps, up from 2.77 Mbps last month.
There continued to be a lot of movement in the Denmark rankings, with Stofa Bredband taking second place with an average monthly speed of 3.90 Mbps and TREFOR jumping three spots to No. 3 with speeds of 3.86 Mbps.
In Ireland, Eir and BT Ireland swapped places this month, BT Ireland is now No 3 (2.92 Mbps) and Eir is No 4 (2.91 Mbps) while Virgin Media is still No 1 in Ireland with an average speed of 3.37 Mbps.
The Netflix ISP Speed Index is a measure of prime time Netflix performance on a particular ISP and not a measure of overall performance for other services/data that may travel across the specific ISP network. Faster Netflix performance generally means better picture quality, quicker start times and fewer interruptions.
