The Gardai today have said that 7000 mobile phones have been stolen since May of last year which amounted to 3 Million euros worth and with most people carrying good high end devices more than ever this is a lucrative crime for Organised criminals and the dumbass opportunists whom we might often see just grab from your hand whilst walking down the street.. Another thing you might also notice is people now carry their phone, credit cards and keys on their phone with specialised cases, this is something I myself have constantly said to many of people with these cases or thinking of buying them DONT!

But they do,they will and it is their own choice and with some of these cases which we actually review they are nice and look well and can be convenient for some. Its now clear that this could one day leave you in big trouble should you be speaking on your device and one of these opportunists grab and run you have lost the whole lot…

With St Patrick’s day coming up it is events like these where criminals flee too and there is also organised gangs on the prowl. There is some tips which the Gardai have advised users which are pictured below, but you can help yourself here too by simply doing some small things such as install apps, one such app you can use is on your desktop is  “track my phone”this can enable you to check your devices whereabouts once you have location turned on, dont leave your phone lying around and keep in a secure front pocket where you will feel it more so than on loose clothing where the criminals can take it out without you knowing… The more organised criminals work in groups and are effective at getting what they want and use distraction tricks to take phones from peoples pockets or left sat on a table but the opportunist can just swipe and run…

To make life that bit harder use the pin lock, use a screen lock and there is apps that actually take snaps too if someone does nick your device, one such app is called GotYa.. The Gardai have also issued a Mobile Phone Prevention Pack on their website too so check it out..
