Sony always has something to add during MWC but this time though they didn’t showed a tablet or a mini version of their phones, instead they presented an entire new line of the Xperia family.
So, let’s discover this new Xperia X line
This new addition comes with three new phones Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA
All three of them are really good offers and will probably make you think twice about what to get this year and they change a little what Sony has been offering for quite a time now adding a with a curved display and a seamless metal back..
The Xperia X Performance the “big brother”, if you ever wanted an Xperia Z model with a metal back this is your go to option.
Presented with a 5″ inch 1080p display embedded in a new metal body painted in a “continuous color” and a “hair” finish to give a more premium look to a well known design.
It comes with a Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and micro SD with up to 200 GB, a finger print reader on the side and its also IP68 certified.
You’ll get the awesome 23MP camera with Hybrid AF capable of 4K video and ISO levels up to 12,800 but this time you have a 13MP selfie camera to cover the front side.
Take a look:
Then you have the Xperia X
This is the middle bother, which includes almost everything its big bro but drops the IP68 certification and we have a Snapdragon 650 64-bit Processor.
Same metal design and other loved Sony features like the camera button are here as well the stereo speaker and the Hi-Res audio capabilities.
Here’s you sample
And last but not least the Xperia XA
As you can imagine this is the budget friendly version, keeps the 5″ screen but this time is 720p.
Under the hood we a MediaTek MT6755, 64 bit Octa-Core processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with micro SD option.
Another change comes in the camera department as here we have a 13 MP camera with Hybrid Autofocus on the back and a 8 MP front camera for selfies.
Another thing to add is that here, you will not find either the FP reader or the stereo speakers.
All three will come in different color options as you can see from the image above, they’ll come in Graphite black,Lime Gold/Rose Gold and White (I personally love the look of the first one)
According to Sony all three are two days phones, The X performance and the X both have 2,620mAh batteries while the XA comes with a much smaller 2,300mAh battery
So there you have it, the new offer from Sony, what do you think of them? I’d go with the X performance in a heart beat but what about you? Let us know in the comments what are your thoughts on this new Xperia Line
