As a Christmas presents for all their fans HTC unveiled a new device this 24th, a device that was well rumored through various leaks but until confirmation was just that.

Now they have officially unveiled the new HTC X9


The X9 shares a lot with the previous A9 of this year but with a couple of add ons that will be gladly received.

On the front we have:

For screen we have a  5.5″ inch at 1080 x 1920 pixels and three capacitive buttons and making a come back the Boom Sound stereo speakers that used to be the HTC mark but this time in a new form.


The phone measures 153.9 x 75.9 x 7.99 mm but is rocking a relatively good  71.38% screen-to-body ratio.

Rest of the specs are:

Processor: Octa-core 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) 64 bit GPU PowerVR G6200
Internal memory: 32GB with microSD expandable up to 2TB
OS: Android 6.0 with HTC Sense UI
Rear Camera: 13MP with dual-tone LED flash, BSI sensor, OIS, capable of RAW images and 4K recording
Front camera: 5 Ultrapixel Sensor l, f / 2.0, 24.7 mm lens and 1080p recording
Weight: 173g
Connections: 4G LTE / 3G HSPA +, Wi-Fi a / b / g / n / ac (2.4 & 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS + GLONASS
Battery: 3000mAh

The X9 has an aluminum body with a plastic band on the top of the back where you can find the main camera.

So what we have here is a pretty well made phablet with all the ingredients to be a great device for its price range, which is 2399 Yuan or €399

What still remains to be seen is whether or not we’ll see the X9 outside of China.
