Earlier this year there was an SMS scam doing the rounds portaying to be Dunnes Stores which told people they had won €500 vouchers which turned out to be obviously untrue,Dunnes,did respond on Twitter to inform people that it was indeed untrue and there was no vouchers up for grabs you can see the post on this over  HERE

Just now I have received a new SMS again with no source or ID on it, the sender info is as seen below.. Also to note on clicking in again the link brings you to Eircom too which is something to take note you will be able to see the URLs in the images below..


This as previously will have a link in the SMS and when opened it will lead you to this so called Dunnes Stores voucher or a new iPhone however if you are using a decent device which will warn you which you can see below… these are all the links which I have checked to hopefully prevent someone being to caught out..

As before just DO NOT OPEN any link you get in a strange SMS and delete immediately. Dont forget to share this with your friends via the options below,enjoy the weekend folks.

  1. i have also been scammed by 77win.a company offering a free draw for champagne and or shopping basket from tesco.they have charged me 20euro.3times 2.50 euro a week and you cannot text stop to 57977 as it doesnt go through.a scam.playie.77win.co
