The time has arrived to finally see some flagship action from Microsoft, since the 830 affordable flagship and the 930 Windows Phone users have been left in limbo since then and have only seen a few cheap devices which did not go down well, cheap devices sell for Microsoft but leaving its powerusers out for such a long time was not something high end users enjoyed whilst the low end department had all the glory, well the day has come to say hello to new devices which are the 950,950 XL and also a 550 thrown into the mix,so lets take a closer look and see if the wait was worth it or if its too late now now, many users have got fed up and jumped ship due to timely updates and the lack of apps, especially local and who can blame them..Can Microsoft win those users back and keep current users happy ???
The 950 and 950 XL.
The devices dont really stand out in the looks department from predecessors from the front anyway but on the rear they do look nice and no metal bodies here either which will disappoint some. The 950/ XL comes with not shortage of features,A 5.7 inch screen clearblack Amoled display and a 5.2 inch screen on the 950, A 20MP rear camera with carl ziess optics and a triple LED flash,a front facing wide angle 5MP camera and both tout 32gb of on board storage expanable up to 200GB which is quite good, 3GB of RAM,battery wise there is a difference the 950XL has a 3340 mAh vs a 3000 mAh on the 950.Processor wise the 950 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Octa core 2000 MHz and the 950 Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Hexa core 1800 MHz. They both have built in wireless charging so this will be a welcome move and also have USB TYPE C charging which enables faster charging.. Liquid cooling was also mentioned today which is also found on the Surface 3 which stops overheating,Also an Iris scanner is featured on both devices which works with Windows Hello Beta, Both devices are due in November but we will have to wait and see how the logistics do here and pricing is $549 and $649 respectively.
