Today Eircom are currently experiencing a nationwide outage,this not only effects landlines but mobiles too..there has been much anger at the situation which is quite natural its also having an effect on emergency services…
We have been advised that an intermittent issue on part of our core telephony network is impacting some businesses which use 1800 and 1500 numbers or some members of the public who are trying to call those numbers.
Customers with ISDN lines are also effected whereby they cannot make calls.
The issue arose just before 10am and our technicians are working to resolve it as quickly as possible.
Standard fixed line numbers are unaffected.
Calls from eMobile or Meteor network to 1890 260 260, Broadband Tech Support team or to 1800 numbers will receive a message saying we cannot connect your call. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as we can and will keep you updated here.
