Are you worried about your electric consumption? We live in a decade of Electric powered devices and each day more of those devices hit the market with most of them ending in our houses.

It’s now time to do something about it and Google’s new “Project Sunroof” might be the solution you’re looking for.

índiceWhat it is?

Thinking “Green” and about renewable energy Google now want to help you to know whether or not your house is a good spot for using Solar Panels to power up the house.

How does it Work?

Using the data from their own Mapping service Google can create a “personalized roof analysis”.

You’ll only need to insert your address and that’s it.

P.S will do the following:

Google’s database of aerial imagery and maps

3D modeling of your roof

Shadows cast by nearby structures and trees

All possible sun positions over the course of a year

Historical cloud and temperature patterns that might affect solar energy production course of a year

Screen-Shot-2015-08-17-at-3.29.22-PM-e1439840014546-920x526Basing in all of that P.S recommends an installation size to generate close to 100% of your electricity use, based on roof size, the amount of sun hitting the roof, and your electricity bill.

Currently Project Sunroof is just available in three cities of United States Boston, San Francisco & Fresno But if the project succeed there’ll be a worldwide deployment.

Take a look….
