Asus is rapidly increasing its mobile phone options by giving users more model to choose from, at the beginning of the year they gave us the ZenFone 2 and the ZenFone Zoom (you can look our coverage HERE)

And now they’re updating the Zenfone Line with not one, but THREE new models.

Enter the ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone 2 Laser and the ZenFone Max.

The ZenFone 2 Deluxe

asus-new-zenfones-300715This “Deluxe” Edition is pretty much like its predecessor, sporting high specs like this:

a 5.5″ 1080p screen (Gorilla Glass 3)

A 64-bit quad-core Intel® Atom™
Z3580 processor at 2.3Ghz or a Intel® Atom™ Quad Core Z3560 at 1.8GHz

13MP rear camera (1080p) 5MP fron facing camera.

3,000mAh battery

Dual Sim Support

And BoostMaster fast charging technology (60% in 39 minutes)

What really makes this edition stand out are two improvements over the previous version.

The memory has been upgraded to 64GB/128GB with microSD up to 128GB (5GB free lifetime ASUS WebStorage)

And now the back has a “premium-crafted polygonal design” with over 500 tessellated triangles joined together to make what they call “The Crystal Miracle”

Available on White and Purple we still don’t know the price tag.

The ZenFone Laser

laserThe “Laser” is like a supersized version of the 5″ ZenFone model and has 3 variants, ZE500KL, ZE500KG and ZE550KL, but the update mostly came to the photography department, as the name suggest. Both, the rear camera and the front camera received a considerable treatment.

And unlike the rest of the ZenFone line they uses a Qualcomm processor instead of Intel.

The ZE550KL and ZE500KL rear camera is now a 13MP capable of 52MP with “Super Resolution mode” (previously was 8MP) with (wait for it…) Laser autofocus which promise to focus in 0.3 secs, 5 lenses and a f/2.0 aperture.

The fron facing camera is now 5MP with a wide-angle lens of 85° and an f/2.0 aperture wich is pretty impressive for a selfie camera.

But the ZE500KG model retain the 8MP rear camera although adds the 5M FF camera.

lLSCIlnni2JLY1mv_setting_fff_1_90_end_500 The rest of the specs for the ZE500KG and the ZE500KL are:

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 410

A 5″ 720p screen (Gorilla Glass 4)

2GB of RAM

8GB/16GB of storage with MicroSD up to 128GB (5GB free lifetime ASUS WebStorage)

And 2,070mAh or 2,400mAh battery for ZE500KL and just  2,070mAh for the ZE500KG

While the ZE550KL has:

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 615

A 5.5″ 720 screen (Gorilla Glass 4)

2GB of RAM

16GB of storage, microSD up to 128GB (5GB free lifetime ASUS WebStorage)

And 3000mAh battery.

All three variants comes in tons of colors to choose from, but price also remains unknown yet.

The ZenFone Max

ASUS-ZenFone-MaxThis particular model is not available yet, we’ll have to wait until October to have it in our hands.

This model is a mixture between “what we want and what we can get”.

Which makes this device really impressive is its massive 5000mAh battery capable of acting as Power Bank.

Promising the best autonomy on a smartphone, is not going to be really difficult considering the rest of the specs:

A Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410

A 5.5″ 720 screen (Gorilla Glass 4)

2GB of RAM

8GB/16GB memory, microSD up to 128GB (5GB free lifetime ASUS WebStorage)

An Adreno 306 GPU

And the 13/5 MP cameras combos with Laser Focus

As the rest of the announcements, this one comes in different colors and they said nothing about the price.

With all this ASUS in now offering really good options for buyers.

What do you think of these new phones? Would you like to have a phone that doubles as Power Bank?
