Exhibitor demand remains high – Markets continue to grow – IFA+Summit successfully established – Industry trends – IFA TecWatch

Malta/Berlin, 25 April 2015 – Renewed growth in exhibitor demand means that once again IFA 2015 will be booked up. Four months before the event opens its doors, gfu und Messe Berlin, the organisers of IFA in Berlin, expect the world’s leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances to be yet another success.

In 2014, following more product debuts than in any other year, the drive to manufacture innovative products continues. Already, this is proof of IFA’s standing as the industry’s leading platform and meeting place and the venue for launching world firsts.

“IFA is the most important meeting place for preparing the ground for the busiest sales period of the year. Once again, it will set major trends and provide an important boost for every branch of industry involved, for the international retail trade, consumers and the media. All the signs are that IFA 2015 will be an outstanding success“, said Hans-Joachim Kamp, chairman of the supervisory board of gfu – Gesellschaft für Unterhaltungs- und Kommunikationselektronik.

The market for large and small electrical appliances is set to expand even more and will grow by three to four per cent. This trend will continue in 2016. Innovation is driving the markets. That means good prospects for IFA 2015, because IFA stands for innovation.”
