Swarm by Foursquare has now launched on WindowsPhone 8.1 (only) and its basically a different version of the Foursquare app which leaves doubt in some peoples minds what will happen that. However is a good app thats arrived on the platform which will see all the winphans happy.

NEW UPDATE IN STORE

On launching the app we could get as far as sign in then after that it took three fresh installs then it started to work..

Soon afterwards it worked, turning location on does help for first use and after some testing it will not work unless location is turned on whilst on Android you can still open the app fully without your location on,not really an issue for me as i would not use these apps much but still use them at times..

There is some differences between the Android version but we would expect an update pretty soon as many reports are coming in that the app keeps crashing, either via not been able to login with Facebook or Foursquare or been able to and the app crashes..

You can see the difference here in the profile page for example.

As you go through the app the similarities are there and seems to work quite well..
