Several networks today have confirmed the nokia lumia 625 they are meteor/emobile and vodafone.
On hearing today the 625 will be available in the uk shortly i asked all networks what was happening with the 625.
So i asked 3,already they have said no to the 1020 but not only that they have not stocked ANY lumia model since the 800.
Lots of people wonder and ask on popular forums here in ireland why this relastionship with 3 and the nokia lumia line up.
There is two main reasons for this and the answers to that are on the forums if you use google you can find out.
3 and their ignorance to the lumia line up is simply a silly move and has left many customers in anger and have subsequently switched providers due to this carry on.Considered 3 in the uk have a different take on the lumia line up one wonders what is going on here.
Nokia today announced that the nokia lumia 625 would be available in the UK for the 28th of august.
So we asked the irish carriers today what was their stance on the upcoming biggest WP8 device to date from nokia.
So here is our conversations on twitter today for those interested in purchasing the 625.
METEOR.
E-MOBILE
VODAFONE
Finally 02 say they are testing the device at the moment but we are confident they will stock the 625 as they have been supportive of the windows phone range and are also the only network to have confirmed stocking the lumia 1020.
Stay in touch when we will bring you the latest info, there is no pricing available as yet of exact release date here in ireland.
As the release date of September draws closer the nokia lumia 1020 is nokias most anticipated device.
So far the 1020 is only been offered by 02 and nobody else,we have contacted the rest and have just go subliminal replies to which we know the answer to.
Any network not to stock this is stupid, just stupid and the current status now is favoring 02 as if the rest don’t offer it people will switch carrier.
3 ireland have an issue with nokia and BLATANTLY REFUSE to sell nokia lumia devices but do sell htc windows phone handsets.
I have my own thoughts along with many others on 3s general status in the market and who is telling them what to sell.
Marketing is another issue,HAVE YOU SEEN ANY? Are you aware of the device and most importantly are you going to buy one.
Answer our poll below and we will send it to the people who need to see it,remember customers are key and its up to the provider to satisfy the customer,we have seen some turnarounds in the past due to pressure from the public.
A gloomy day in dublin turned into a rather spectacular day meeting the spectacular Patrick Hamilton Walsh.
We have been friends a while now on twitter and have had several conversations and today was the day to finally put them chats into use and meet up for coffee.
In my recent post http://nokianewsireland.com/2013/07/30/patrick-hamilton-walsh-new-book-life-is-out-now/ this is the man himself i sat down with today.
His new book just launched (Life Is) and has sold out already which is an amazing achievement .
This guy has done it all a CV anyone would be envious of.
Patrick like myself is a nokia fan and this guy has travelled the world with his nokia phones and put them into perspective making videos and superb photos all taken on nokia devices.
Patrick also has the nokia lumia 925 like myself and we both await the Lumia 1020 and we cant wait to see what he brings us with the 1020.
We spoke about the smartphone market in ireland and the way it is and what the future is holding.
We spoke about how nokia lumia sales are in ireland which are steadily growing and what holds for the 1020,we also spoke about the LACK OF INTEREST from irish companies and their attitude supporting only Android and iOS,at the end of the day windows phone IS the third OS,it has a top ecosystem and the sooner the better these irish companies wake up the better, people want apps its that simple and to make any OS a success you need apps i cant make myself any clearer on that so if your reading this my note to irish companies is WAKE UP!
We also spoke on the attitude with some retailers,a customer going in asking for one product and been sideswept to another,we know who these manufacturers are and thats how they do business, they are buying the stores,i could go on all day about that and what i see in the business as im involved in it daily myself, and get to meet lots of interesting people.
Staff training is another thing that has cropped up with little or none this is another area that needs to be addressed by either the stores or the companies themselves.Advertising too is another important key factor which needs to be looked at.
We agreed on everything which was good,we both have the same ideas and thoughts and whats ahead.
Bucket loads of cash swamping the market with rehashed models and boring designs might work for now but people are picking up on that now.
So we have a pretty good outlook on WindowsPhone but MS need to pick up the pace too in fairness they are just not quick enough to release the apps people want but they are getting there slowly but surely.
We also spoke about Patricks goals and what his plans are which are amazing for somebody that has done it all what else can you do?
Patrick is going to continue travelling and keep sending us glorious photos from his nokia device,he wants change and is making changes and like myself i need a change in my current career which im currently working on.
To sum up partick as a person he is a total gent he is inspiring and im a big fan he has valuable skills and i learned alot form my meeting with him.
He has recently been on the nokia conversations site too about his new book and very much a well liked guy from what im reading,he is a nice guy ive met him and delighted to have met him.
You can follow him on twitter @ThePhoneographr and @theISbook.
I wish patrick the best on his future plans and was a pleasure to meet you.
